On 19 January, at 11:00, gathering at Luban's wetted information centre, offers every kind of natural friend, like a small, big man, to participate in an exciting winter trip to “animals in the trail”, the nature reserve “Luban wetlands”. In a two-hour walk, we'll find out what animals live in our hiking route, how we can recognize them. The aim is to educate the participants of the event about the animals in winter, the footprints left, where they have come from and where they carry the traces they feed in winter and where they are staying.
The total duration of the event up to 3 hours, which includes a two-hour hiking, a lunch at the information centre with similar lunch bread (a warm tea and a chance to meet the fireplace).
Place of assembly of the hiking participants: Lubana wetted information centre. “Aiviekstes hydronode”, Ošupes civil parish, Madona municipality, LV-4833, GPS: X: 56.8164,: Y: 26.9065.
Winter is the season that gives us a unique opportunity to look into the snow and see the traces of different animals that we can't see so easily in the other seasons. The animals can't be seen in the wild at all so easily, but with the help of the left feet, their presence can be easily detected unless they know their traces. We will therefore use the privileges of this nature and go to the forest with environmental inspectors, hunters, Cynthia pigeons.
The event is an easy level of difficulty, particularly by inviting families with children and, of course, every kind of natural person.
We call for the clothes to be dressed, although we're going to go, but there'll be stops, so we take care to have warm clothes and dry legs - warm hat, gloves, trousers, warm boots, and you can take the thermos with tea so that when cold, warm up.
We look forward to January to go to this interesting expedition! Come and find out who lives in the winter of Latvia!
