On 2 and 3 February, the festival “snowy Cylcover” was spent in Sarkaņkalns.

For the third year, Vērēmu parish in Sarkaņkalns gathered winter activists, young people and families to spend time together and devote themselves to the pleasure of winter. The event is aimed at promoting winter as an active rest season and bringing together a wide range of winter lovers. This year, the festival took place over two days, and visitors of the festival had the opportunity to participate in both teams and individual activities, to meet local musicians and artists' beauties, and to take part in several creative workshops and entertainment.
February 2 was the most active day of the festival in which creative team relay took place, and individual disciplines - the shooting of the circle, the “prepacker”, “voilac” throwing and the “hidden treasure” in the territory of Sarkankalns. A total of 9 teams, including the 36 th Battalion team of the National Guard, won the first place in a team of team disciplines this year. Teams had to prepare a business card and the team's overall design to zinc of the events of the event. This, in turn, with 2 nd place in the total of stays, was won by the “Ghostbusters” team from the Current District.
On Saturday afternoon, the event visitors agreed, perhaps in most Latgale synchronous trips from the hill. In total, more than 70 participants with different “hose”, skis and snowboards took part in the trip.
In parallel to various physical activities, the 3 rd floor of the Red Hill had a nursery in which the new offspring could be placed in mask-making and face-to-face. The students of the Rēzekne art and design secondary school formed the snowsculpture “polar” in the courtyard of Sarkaņkalns, the Scratching workshop, the demonstrations of the National Guard, the horse riding and soup boiling on the fire.
The day of the day was followed by best prizes in team and individual disciplines, followed by musical performances from Uga, MKH41, Ave JahBahus and DJ EdMag & DJ SteveK.
February 3, the festival was emphasized as a family day. It took place in family relay, team photo orientation, ceramic workshop, dance and toy with folklore set “willows”, skiing competitions, arc shooting, voilac throwing, “boxes” and autoschool AAA discipline, with free theory for driver training in the prize fund. On the night of the hill, Arnis Slobogenin and Third Newton's lyrics grew up in the hill. The closing of the festival also took place in the burning of fire.
The event was organised by the association “Center for Eastern Latvian Creative Initiatives”. The general supporters of the event - the municipality of Rezekne and the “Latvian Forestry Fund for Sustainable Development”.
