The exhibition “Rēzekne businessman” will be held on 30 and 31 October
The annual exhibition – “Rezekne businessman” will gather almost 80 producers, craftsmen and service providers from Latgale and other municipalities this year, which will take place on 30 and 31 October in Rezekne's 2 nd secondary school sports complex (colonel deer street 28).
The exhibition is organised for the sixth consecutive year by the Rēzekne business association, enabling entrepreneurs, domestic producers and craftsmen to familiarise themselves with the wider public with their products and services, promote visibility, strengthen both mutual cooperation and create new contacts with potential customers. For several years there has been a growing number of local actors in the exhibition, which confirms the activity of entrepreneurs of the region and successful commercial activities. A number of newly established Rezekne companies, such as “medical centre 36,6” and “Grace Latgale” for healthcare services, will also be able to meet the exhibition.
This year, the municipality of Rezekne takes care of the holdings of farms, domestic producers and craftsmen. It is planned that around 20 local entrepreneurs, farmers and craftsmen are invited to participate in the exhibition with motto “islolots Rēzekne District”, offering visitors smoked fish, quail eggs, honey, cheese and meat products, as well as ceramics, metal, Kokamatniecības and other transactions.
The companies of the Rēzekne business society will be represented in a single exhibition to show the goods and services produced in the city and the municipality, such as the birch plywood “Verems”, the linu factory “Balwill East”, the production of the wood processing company Gravtex etc., while several companies participate in the exhibition with broader exhibitions, including the beer plant “DFD”, the furniture plant “style”, the training centre BUTS. In collaboration with several participants in the exhibition, competitions will be held for visitors of the exhibition, such as one of the most attractive such events – “picking competitions” with Rezekne pizza “LaPizza”.
In the course of the exhibition, a business evening will be held on 30 October, in which the municipality of Rezekne will welcome the most successful entrepreneurs of Rezekne, granting “annual entrepreneurs” awards.
As usual, the exhibition “Rēzekne businessman” intended to produce food business products will be able to purchase both jewellery and ceramic and knitted or crocheted products. Several participants in the exhibition will offer useful things, cleaning tools, information about furniture manufacturing, insurance and other services. The exhibition will run for two days, Friday, October 30. 11 to 18 and Saturday, 31 October from 9 to 15. The entrance to visitors will be free of charge.
The event is organised in Rēzekne in collaboration with the municipalities of Rezekne and municipality. After an estimated estimate of two days, the exhibition is usually visited around 1500 hostels and guests. Regional entrepreneurs exhibitions take place in Valmiera, Cēsis, Liepaja, also in Daugavpils. In Latgale, this is one of the most important commercial exhibitions, as shown by both the growing number of participants and the interest of entrepreneurs in participation in this event.
