On October 8, that year, from 10.30 to 12.30 14.00 An international conference “Latvian People's Front on Independent and Democratic Latvia” will be held in Riga at the Dailes theatre. LTF – 30, followed by a festive concert.
The Latvian People's Front was a public political organisation created at the beginning of the third awakening, with more than 250 000 members and an even larger number of supporters both in Latvia and in exile. In the fight for the recovery of a democratic and independent state around LTF, almost all Latvian national liberation ideas and groups, as well as the cultural societies of Latvia's ethnic minorities, have been filled with time.
“30 years ago Latvia was the most ratified, colonised, colonised and possibly most reactioned Republic of Moscow in the Baltic States. The Chief of THE USSR Baltic War, with a giant army contingent, the military factories of the Union and war bases, had been planted and scared. Therefore, the establishment of a single, well-organised Latvian People's Front in one year with the Estonian People's Front“ Rahvarinne ”and the Lithuanian transformation movement“ Sajudis ”can be referred to as the Baltic miracle, the Latvian People's greatest success on the way to the recovery of its country,” its conditions prior to the establishment OF THE LTF are characterised by the first LTF Chairman Dainis Ivanis.
The aim of the conference is to reflect the importance of the Latvian People's Front – the largest political organisation in the history of our country. THE LTF broke the power of the people in the parliamentary way, facilitated the adoption of the declaration of independence of 4 May 1990 and the restoration of Latvia's national democracy.

Latvia will be represented by the younger generation of researchers Martin Kaprāns, Ivars Ijabs, Gatis Krūmins and lawyer Janis Pleps, as well AS LTF former presidents Dainis Ivan (1988-1990) and Romualds Ražuks (1990-1992). The discussion will be chaired by former Head of THE LTF Information Centre, journalist, politician Sarmitte Elerte. Conferences are scheduled for two sessions.
