“Abbey festival” AT Audriņu in primary school

Education

At the end of January, the smallest Audriņu primary school residents, pre-graders, celebrated the most important festivals – first school books, pizza, festivals.

During half a year, children learned the most important skills for future life – reading skills. This happy event became a cause for real festivals.

From the morning, both the parents of the school, the schoolmates, and the guests were gathering in the school hall, all waiting for the “little wisdom.” The children ran into the hall with fun music, holding their first books, the Abbey. To find their place at the tables, they had to read their name and then sit down. When the places were occupied, the “real tests” began!

The children read, wrote, said, mentioned the dough, danced, counted poems. All the present knew that our pre-graders are full and competitive national citizens!

During the event, the pupils did not only work much, proving their knowledge and resourcefulness, but also received a sufficient range of gifts. The second and third-class children came with a creative gift – they “gave it” a cocky poem – advice in school life. Students from the class received diplomas – evidence of successful learning of reading skills. The gifted coloured fairy books will surely be useful for young readers. The school director, Liana Turumnieks, prepared a surprise – the children received a disc with fairy tales.

At the end of the event, the pre-graders handed over to the librarian Ludmilai Fiodorova. She recommended the new readers to actively use the school library services.

The Festival of the School of the School has been sounded, but the little babies don't be able to sit comfortably on the spot. They went to Latgale's cultural history museum in Rēzekne with the class nurse to participate in the pedagogical program of the same name - “Abbey festival”. The museum exponentially surprised our children – a huge pen, wooden letter blocks, games – everything was a real joy. It was particularly delighted to have children in the school uniform worn by their parents or grandparents at school times.

The basics of reading is set, and our first grades can safely surf the book in the ocean, expanding their knowledge and vision.
