Education

As Christmas approached, the first Adventes candle will be lit on Sunday. In order to symbolically prepare for festivals, THE 9 th grade school students of THE Audriņu primary school went to THE Audriņu parish library to build the Aventes crowns with librarian Margarita Platonova and teacher Ivetu Rundans. The girls and boys, with enthusiasm, practically worked so that the finished crowns would enjoy not only for themselves, but for others. The girls listened more to the recommendations, but boys 100% realized their creative idea.
Prior to the practice, the pupils learned that the first Aventes crown in 1833, through a wooden cross with spruce branches and burning 23 candles, was given to the world by the orphans of Hamburg's children. The Adventes time is twenty-three days. Gradually the twisted wooden cross was replaced by a tree of green spruce trees rounded by four candles - each of the Adventes Sunday one. The round crown of Adventes, traditionally green, symbolises life.
Many of us have a time when we wait for Christmas. The advente is the time that every heart bears hope and looks forward to Christmas miracle. Peace and equilibrium in itself have been accepted during this period. It is a time to spend at home with the family, the smell of mandarins and peppercakes.
