Invitation to participate in a survey on the possible change in the name of the municipality of Rēzekne Gaigalavas parish

The municipality of Rezekne informs the local government that THERE has been a submission of Gaigalavas parish residents with a proposal to examine the question of the legal legality of THE Sherjan village name OF Gaigalavas parish.
Two close-to-other villages with the same name (Sherjan village Gaigalavas parish and Sherjan village IN Stružānu parish) mislead and restrict the convenience of finding a convenient address for both operational services and making it difficult to fulfil obligations for postal/courier services and other service providers.
The municipality of Rēzekne council invites residents to participate in the survey and public consultation in order to ascertain the public opinion regarding the possible change of the village name from “Shergani” to “Vecjjani”.

At the Centre for Public Activity “School of Strūžānu”, Shergans, Gaigalavas parish, Rezekne nov., 17 April 2018 at 17.00
