Call on crop holdings to apply for participation in interest groups

Farmers are invited to participate in crop interest groups on the following topics:
1) improvement of the cultivation of cereals, rapeseed and butterflies in an integrated farming system (in the regional chapters of Kraslava, Rēzekne, Madona and Gulbene);
2) improvement of agricultural production agrotechnics in the organic farming system (regional division of Preiles).
Interest groups shall organise the use of the basic principles of integrated and organic plant cultivation in crop farming, to promote the balanced use of all the resources in the holding in order to ensure economically justified farming, environmental protection and resource saving; to develop rational recommendations for farmers producing plant breeding in the integrated and organic farming system in farm farming; by means of another experience, to exchange good practice, with the help of a consultant, to learn from one another.
Conditions for participation in the interest group:

• the owners of holdings must have a common interest in the implementation of the interest group programme;
• the specialisation of the holding is the cultivation of cereals, rapeseed and butterflies in an integrated holding; the sowing area of the arable crops is 20-300 ha;
• organic farming must be a certificate of organic farming or transitional period;

The owner of the holding agrees:

• conclude a cooperation agreement on participation in the interest group;
• cooperate with other members of the interest group;
• participate in the training organised by consultants;
• register the farm in the national rural network database;
• agrees that the consultant shall use the farm's accounting data for the calculation of the cost of production in the interest group.
