We call on the Rēzekne municipality and Viļānu to run a forum for the population!

17 April of that year, from 09:30 to 16:20, in the municipal building of Rezekne, in the conference hall, (at the release alley, 95A, Rezekne) will be held by the National Forum of Rezekne and Viļānu.
During the Forum, all interested people in Rezekne and Viļānu will be given the opportunity to play an active role in updating the challenges of their living space and to find effective solutions to the necessary improvements as a result of mutual discussions.
In order to ensure the successful operation of the planned activities, 5 vicinity workshops were held in the municipality of Rezekne and Viļānu before the Forum: Maltas, Gaigalavas, Lūznavas, Vērēmu parish, as well AS Viļānos. Together, the neighborhood workshops visited and operated the 152 most active residents of Rezekne and Viļānu. The population characterized the needs and possible solutions that are topical for the site. During the meeting, the people had the opportunity to express ideas and proposals for improving the quality of life in their municipality.
Work done in local neighborhood workshops will be continued in a forum where the most topical challenges will be addressed during the discussions and solutions are sought in the areas of thematic groups:
social, health, safety;
• education;
• culture, sport and rest
• the role of the non-governmental sector in the development of the municipality;
• business sector, including tourism, crafts, domestic production.
Work in groups will focus on priorities important for the development of the local community in order to find solutions with citizens' participation for further constructive cooperation between the public and non-governmental sectors, promoting civic participation in decision-making in various areas.
The Citizens' Forum is organised by the “Rēzekne District Communities Partnership” project “Citizens' Forum in the municipality of Rezekne and Viļānu” co-financed by the foundation “Boris and Inara Teterov Foundation”. The event is supported by the municipality of Rezekne and THE municipality of Viļānu.
