Aija Eriņa memorial competition “Nudreb heart …” for new vocals, song authors and literates

Aija Erina lived a bright, busy, but unfortunately, too short life. Her creative activities were more pronounced in music – a soldier, an Englishman's singing leader, and later a songwriter. It is less known that Aija's peculiar literary performance – analytical journalism, essays, poetry. By honouring Aija Eriņa's life and memory, her relatives, friends, colleagues organize the new talent competition – the festival with the idea and hope that it will enrich Latvian cultural life as a traditional cultural event every two years.
The aim of the competition is to promote the development of the vocal, artistic and literary capacities of children and young people, to reveal new talented children and young people who are writing texts, music, as well as performing it and motivating their creative self-expression.
Organisers and supporters of the competition: Municipality of Rezekne, Dricānu cultural association “Auseklis”, SIA “high mountains”.
Venue: Rēzekne District Gaigalavas Culture House, Time: 12 May 2019 - Aija Eriņa's birthday.
The competition - Festival “Nudreb heart...” consists of three separate competitions: vocalist contest, original song authors competition and literary innovation contest.
