The mother's day is celebrated during a natural awakening when the flower and the sun are close to their highest point in the sky. On May 10, 2017, the Rēzekne region's rural women's association “Sidrabrasa”, on May 10, 2017, organised an event dedicated to her mother's day, to which Rēzekne Municipality and Viļānu are invited.
The President OF the Rēzekne District Council OF Monvīds Švarcs, in congratulating the mothers present, noted that good, warm words should be read at all times, but that day is another opportunity for everyone to thank their mother for giving life, unconditional love, care and support.

They do not extinguish even when we are in our parents' role and grow the next generation, because our mother's brightness is passed on to children, and this message was expressed in her congratulations by the head of the Rēzekne municipality's educational administration, Guntars ants.

• Laura Kudravska - Student 3 of the Rēzekne Technology Academy,
• Nikita Janov – the 6 th high school student of Rezekne,
• The creative workshops were led by Evita Kowalonoka and Lidija Civkore, members of THE RRLSB Sidrabrasa.
