Spent fifth skiing competitions in Cantes

Traditionally, for the fifth winter season, Kantinieku parish sports and recreational centre organized a distance ski competition in a free style on 9 February. To promote and cultivate winter sports, promote healthy lifestyles and encourage families to actively spend their free time, the competitions were organised in three age groups – Group 1 - children up to 10 years of age, 2 nd group from 11 years of age to 15 years, 3 rd group from 16 years and more.
Although the weather was not the best, the event gathered quite a lot of skiers from Kantinieku and Sakstagala parish. The most active were adults this time. We greeted the winners with diplomas, medals and souvenirs. In conclusion, the participants warmed with hot tea and soup. Thank all skiers for their participation and support!
