Spent the book festival of Rezekne and Viļānu

On August 3, Silmalas parish in Gornica was celebrated by the festival of Rezekne and Viļānu, who have become a good and beautiful tradition in our municipality because of the seventeenth time. This year, the book festival programme highlighted the theme of Latgale and the main events were meetings with writers, poets, journalists, artists and other creative employees, mainly the leaders.
As the festival programme included activities of different age groups, more than two hundred stakeholders gathered in the hot, sunny August day of August.
A great interest was izraisīja by a meeting with the žurnāla “A 12. The road to Latgale is a creative team that was represented by the editor of the journal Ināra Groce, journalist Inga Cheka-Ratniece, writer and literature scientist Valentin Lukashevics, writer and translator Sandra Udre. The editor of the journal, Ināra Groce, told about the difficulties and achievements of the publication, the new annex of the journal“ A12 ”,“ Road to Rēzekne District ”- Rezekne municipality in nine stories, presentation. The listeners had the opportunity to receive the latest numbers of the journal, an attachment.
The poetry fans participated in a conversation with poets and scrippers Inetu Atpili-Jugani - the Latgalian cultural prize “Boņuks' winners' nomination“ best performance in poetry 2013 ”, listened to poetry lines with poet texts, more learned about the film“ wine voir de vysu ”- the co-author of the scenario and“ Examiria Staznem leidze ”- scenario author, pinning.
A large crowd of listeners gathered on a meeting with THE honorary citizen OF THE city OF Viļānu, the journalist Maruta Latkovsk, who is an active Latgalian-language common and promoter, the patriote of his land, because according to her, she sees herself only here, in her Ugres, and nowhere else in the world. Received the Latgalian cultural prize “Boņuks 2014” for life contribution to Latgalian culture. The narrative of the music was supplemented by an exhibition of printing works that could see the magazine “Catholic dzeive”, for which Maruta Latkovska has spent more than twenty years of his life, also latgalically translated books, listening to the first reading of the book “Unuceite” issued in 2018, watching the first animation film in Latgalian language “vasals, Vinnej Pūk!”, which also took part in Maruta Latkovska.
Children and adolescents met the children of the children of the children, the authors of the new children's book “Meikulenš Epazeist omotus”, as well as the book illustrators in the League Munda. The book is illustrated and written in two languages – Latgalian and Latvian, to be available to a wider audience of readers, as well as to promote the acquisition of Latgalian language. The main hero of the book, a teacher, comes to know, with his friends, the various artisanal works that children can do in their own hands. The children were willing to participate in the pearl workshop and set up a variety of jewellery.
A second nice surprise for children was a meeting with the other guests – the author of children's books Ruth Svajo and the artists' Danish oak, who have created several adventure books, including a series of children's books about little Baiba. The artist Dāvis oak animates the fairy tales. At the meeting, the children, together with the artist, drew one of the book heroes in Muri, and received the white books.
Other creative workshops and entertainment were also offered to all stakeholders – mini printing, working with coloured sand, Drawing, gluing, cutting, dance steps, photo corners at the book, inflatable amusement for children.
In the course of the whole day, there was an opportunity to look at the exhibition of the newspaper collection of the newspaper Svikis, which included newspapers from 70 different countries and places, to ask questions for the collector itself, but to select and purchase a clean reader for THE SIA Latvian book at a commercial exhibition.
At the end of the festival, Zanda Ludborge's acordeonist ensemble “Excelsus” was able to enjoy the sounds of the lovely acordeone music for more than an hour.
Current festival festivals have been sounded, but the festival mood will remain for a long time and will remain in memory of appointments, conversations, emotions, knowledge, impressions, … and also the book, as a symbol of light and knowledge, as a reminder of the fact that reading contributes to development in today's changing world.
