In spring sunny on the day of May 6, Mākoņkalna parish in the Lake Lipušku village, there were sporting and energetic participants in the Lake of Razna, with one common goal of admitting THE peak of Mākoņkalna (Padebei hill) and checking their strength by running around 3.5 kilometres of distance, taking part in the seventh consecutive round of Rezekne's mass run “Razna – Muokūnkoln 2017”. In the run, the last 400 metres of the distance had to be performed at the peak of the hill, 148 athletes were involved, both small and large, both in teams and individually.
The seventh mass run for the best time – 13 minutes and 43 seconds – was shown by Edgars Stepins from Dagda municipality, Andrupenes civil parish, while in competition competition, Olga Belova from Viļānu of Viļānu was the fastest in competition in 16 minutes and 45 seconds. Runners were divided into three age groups: up to 16 years, 17 to 35 years and 36 years. Raivis Spaļs (15 min.) was won by the newest athlete in the group 1 st place. 25 sec) and Ksenia Golovneva (18:44). In the age group 17 to 35 years of age, Edgars Stepins and Olga Belovs came to win the victory, while Nikolai Petrov from Ludza (15:33) won the group from 36 years, correcting the last year's score for 3 seconds and Iveta Malta from Viļāniem (18:00), correcting the last year's score for 18 seconds.
The first-place winners each received a cash pot of EUR 70. “Auscarb kebabs” prizes were awarded 2 nd and 3 rd place. In the nomination, the “busiest school” 150 EUR of money that could be used for the purchase of sports equipment received Nautrēnu secondary school, which earned the school title of the school, leaving Maltas secondary school, as well AS Sakstagala primary school. The total prize fund was EUR 1000 that year.
In order to alleviate the start of the start, the runners had the opportunity to grab their precision in the shooting competitions, where Andris Fedorenkov, Edgars Stepins and Kršiknis pinka were the most accurate in the men's competition, while the most focused women in competition were Žanette Piļka, Sam Kanashka and Linda Selkevich.
The dancers of the dance studio STOP-TIME dance group Heroes Crew took care of the runner entertainment and energy restoration.
The organizers of the Rēzekne, the municipal council of the municipality of Rezekne thanked Mākoņkalna parish administration for co-operation, the sports club “Magnen” on the coordination of the run, as well as thanked fourteen volunteers who helped shape this exciting event.
