The traditional run “Razna – Muokūna koln 2016”, the number of participants is increasing

In a sunny and hot day of 7 May, AT Mākoņkalna parish in the Lake Lipušku village, a total of 200 athletic and energetic participants gathered on the shore of Razna Lake, with one common goal of admitting THE peak of Mākoņkalna (Padebei hill) and checking their strength by running around 3.5 kilometres of distance, taking part in the sixth consecutive mass run “Razna – Muokūnkoln 2016”. A run of 192 athletes, both small and large, and individually, took part in a run whose distance in the last 400 metres of the hill had to be carried out at the top of the mountain.
By setting the track track record, the best time – 12 minutes and 50 seconds – was reached by Andrejs Yko from Rezekne Municipality OF Nagļu parish, correcting the track record of last year by 24 seconds (13:14), while the most fastest of the ladies in competition was Olga Belova from Viļānu, filling the trace in 16 minutes and 20 seconds, correcting his last year score by 20 seconds. Runners were divided into three age groups: up to 16 years, 17 to 35 years and 36 years. Aldis Bogdans from Ilzeskalna parish (15 min. 40 sec) and Victoria Adijan from Bērzgales parish (21:04). In the age group from 17 to 35 years of age, Andrejs Yko and Olga Belova were flowing in the victory, while Nikolai Petrov (15:37) and Iveta Malta of Viļāniem (18:18) won the group from 36 years.
The first-place winners each received a cash pot of EUR 70. “Auscarb kebabs” prizes were awarded 2 nd and 3 rd place. In the nomination, the “busiest school” 150 EUR of money that could be used for the purchase of sports equipment received Nautrēnu secondary school, which earned the school title of the puffy school, leaving the Tiskad High School, as well AS Maltas High School. The total prize fund was EUR 1000 that year.
Compared to previous years, the number of participants of the run has increased as their forces were tested by athletes not only from the municipality of Rezekne and Rezekne, but also from the neighborhood municipality - Vilaka, Dagda, Karsava, Varakļana and Daugavpils municipality. It can then be concluded that this exciting and attractive event will further attract more interested people who wish to win the grey Volkenberg. Running organizers - Rēzekne Municipality Education Administration and Mākoņkalna parish administration thank the sports club Magnen for coordinating the run, as well as thanking eight volunteers who helped shape this exciting event.
