The most active young people in Rezekne municipality – Ozolaines parish!

In order to promote the participation of young people in the realization of their interests and ideas, as well as to promote useful leisure and non-formal education, the educational administration of Rezekne organised a competition in the end of 2014, which identified the most active civil parish in the field of youth. Eleven applications were received in the competition. In assessing the events organised by young people in rural areas, as well as how active young people have participated in competitions organised by the municipality, the educational administration of the year has recognised THE parish “Ozo young people” OF Ozolaines. The honest 2 nd place was received BY Ilzeskalna parish, while THE 3 rd place ranked Maltas parish.
Ozolaines parish youth as a prize for victory will be given the opportunity to consult the European Parliament and the most interesting places in Brussels. 2 nd place winners will be able to visit the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia and cinema or waterpark in Riga, while the winners of the 3 rd place will be able to acquaint themselves with the work of the municipality of Rezekne and the entertainment offered by the holiday complex “lighthouse”. In turn, Ozolmuižas, Feimaņu, Dricānu, Vērēmu, Kaunatas, Gaigalavas, Pušas and Stružānu parish young people will be able to purchase an inventory of EUR 50 per parish in 2014.
The Rēzekne municipality's youth affairs specialist Guntis Rasims said: “Malachi in 2014 was not only these three, but at least ten, twelve parish. Other parish young people can also be seen as the most active. A large number of parish in rural youth activity are direct to youth coordinators. I think that the rest of the parish will be amazed in 2015, because we have planned more youth activities and opportunities."
Let us recall that THE YOUNG people OF Ozolaines parish for 2014 also received the nomination of the youth annual prize organised by the Ministry of Education and Science in the category “fastest jump for the new youth organisation”.
