Summarised results of the survey of the population of Rezekne on the work of the local government in 2017
In order to plan further development of the municipality and identify areas that need to be developed, the municipality of Rezekne organised a survey of the population in the period from 15.12.2017 to 01.02.2018. 542 respondents were involved in the survey, of which 378 women and 164 men. People aged 46-61 are most pronounced, while young people up to 25 years of age have participated in the survey. Compared to the previous year, this year, the largest activity in the survey has been reported by RESIDENTS of Griškānu parish, followed BY Audriņu, Gaigalavas, Maltas, Ozolaines, Vērēmu, Mākoņkalna and Nagļu parish residents.
In the framework of the survey, the population was required to provide an assessment of the various services available in the Rēzekne municipality, as well as the citizens were invited to refer to cases which are currently lacking or are urgent to be dealt with in one of the municipalities or areas of the municipality. The satisfaction of the population with the services provided by the municipality and life in Rezekne municipality, according to the answers provided by respondents, is relatively high - 80.4 % of respondents have received positive reviews.

Most valuable recommendations have also been received, both to improve the efficiency of administration and to identify specific cases and measures that should be improved in the rural area or village concerned. The results of the survey and the proposals expressed will be used as a basis for further communication with the residents of the municipality, the evaluation of the activities of the local government, as well as the planning of the work to be performed in the future.
