learnFor ceramic Peterim Gailums, the Rēzekne municipality of Rēzekne, in THE parish of Ilzeskalna, is forced to burn very often – the podiers' peculiar, traditionally modern handwriting is very demanding, also in the new hat, where the smoky black tones are the spring greenish and copper red, each vessel already has its own commissioning party. This year is active and rich with new challenges, these are both new, interesting orders, and the newly built ceramic workshop of the old cake, which is due to the funding granted BY THE municipality of Rēzekne to support the rural economy (LEARN). Peter Gailuma's project “Establishment of a ceramic workshop” was one of 13 entrepreneurs' projects that were supported IN THE LEARN launched project competition for start-up and development in the territory of Rezekne District. The competition was launched by 64 existing and potential entrepreneurs with a total demand for LEARN funding of EUR 155 919.00. The planned financing of the project is EUR 3000.00 and the Petertera co-financing itself is EUR 1321,83.
The creation of a new ceramic workshop was dictated by the need for life. “I have a workshop where i work in the cold months of the year, but it is very small if a visitor, tourists, school groups come and want to do it, then there is no place.” I decided to rebuild the old shop for the workshop. The workshop will be buried, one will be able to sleep on the second floor, ”– Peter Gailums says about his project. The construction of a hundred-year-old building is already completed, only inside, so that it is possible to place the pearl rope and other equipment for the creation of new fire, clay and podcasts.
Peter admits that he had been looking around for the project contests, having told his daughter about this, also helping to write the application. THE older consultant, Dina Butler, did not deny his advice.
“It is a very good opportunity, especially for small businesses, for craftsmen who are hard to qualify for the big projects, because nobody with your couple is going to cheat.” “I hope it will be in the coming years, thanks to the local government and THE employees of THE LEARN,” says Peteris Gailums.
The new workshop will be a good return to the work of the ceramic, as well as the influx of tourists. Now Peter Giluma's ceramic and spouse, Maija's gorgeous beauty garden, Ilzeskalna parish in Vecgailumi is a favorite tourist object, even despite the dusty and rutted gravel path. On the asphalt or double surface of the surface, Rogovka - Ilzeskalns - Rēzekne can only be dreaming for the time being, but Peter's ceramic has gone around the world. Last year, along with Stanislav Vilnius and Victor Pankov, a massive work has been performed – the preparation of authentic oven pods for Bauska medieval castle. Guests from around the world, who visited Latvia during THE EU Presidency, also received a gift from Peter Gailums - clay Germans. In Stockholm's Viking pub in Sweden, beer and wine-Viking descendants will be able to enjoy from Peter Gailum's made clay cups. Local people have also preferred Peter's business, companies commissioned prizes for the winners of their sports competitions, municipalities - souvenirs and cups, cabbages - servicers for new spouses. “The dishes are sent by both the righteous and the local, and now our people are already well aware of the ceramics.” It's been the time that everyone needed French glass and Chinese porcelain with a full Latvia. '
Peteris Gailums is more burning black, or a reduced ceramic hat, but his dishes do not look just black but are surprisingly bright. “Full black dishes seem like a bit of a grim, i want something more fun.” I also used coloured glazes, painting. People like it too. Both green and red copper tones. '
