Open project competition - 3 rd selection in sub-programme “NGO project programme”
The Society Integration Fund launches a third open project application competition within the framework of the European Economic Area Financial Instrument 2009-2014 programme “NGO Foundation” under the “Non-Governmental Organisations Project Programme”.
Objective of the “NGO Foundation” programme it is important to promote the development of civil society in Latvia and strengthen support for social justice, democracy and sustainable development.
Joint programme co-financing of programmes under the sub-programme “Non-governmental organisations” micro-project the third invitation to tender shall be EUR 205 057, of which EUR 168 579 are available in the field of “social sector activities” and EUR 36 478 in support of “networking” (including 95% is the financing instrument of the European Economic Area Financial Instrument and 5% Latvian State budget financing).
Projects may be submitted by a association or foundation registered in the Republic of Latvia which complies with the following conditions:
- is a non-profit-making organisation; it is established in order to achieve the objectives set out in the articles of association, which do not have a profit-making nature; the profit derived from the economic activities undertaken by the association and the foundation shall not be distributed among the members of the association or the founders of the foundation;
- is a voluntary association of persons established voluntarily by natural or legal persons;
- not working solely in their own interests or in the commercial or professional interests of their members; its purpose is to act for the benefit of the wider public, addressing issues relating to the well-being of individual populations or the whole of society;
- is a legal person and operates in accordance with the statutes approved by the founders;
- it has a fixed organisational structure and established administrative bodies; it shall be accountable for its activities to its members, founders or funders;
- is independent from public administration, political parties or commercial organisations.
The deadline for submission of project applications is 5 January 2015 to 30 a.m. 18:00;
Project applications may be submitted:
- the project application form is completed and submitted online on THE SIF website. In order to apply for online filing, an agreement signed by the responsible official of THE SIF organisation shall be submitted in duplicate on the online use. The agreement form can be downloaded from THE SIF website “PROJECT COMPETITIONS — EEA Financial Instrument 2009-2014 —3. Selection “Programme for Non-Governmental Organisations 2009-2014”. The SIF will be signed by SIF on its own and will be returned with online access data;
- personally or by mail to the public integration fund, Freedom Street 40-39 (6 th floor), Riga, LV-1050;
- send e-mail in electronic document form mic@sif.lv;
Ask questions about preparing project applications by e-mail konkursi@sif.lv, indicating a reference to the tender for the projects in question, no later than three working days before the deadline for submission of project applications.
During the period from 10 November to 12 December 2014, information seminars will be held on the preparation of project applications in both Riga and regions for which more detailed information will be available on THE SIF website.
IN REZEKNE, the seminar will take place on 20.11.2014.
