Reflection on the project “folklore school 2”

From January 20, 2018 until June 30, 2018, the municipality OF Rēzekne Municipality Ozolaines parish administration implemented the project “folklore school 2” supported by the National Kuckland Capital Fund, which was a continuation of the project “folklore school”, which was implemented IN Ozolaines parish last year in the period from 20 April to 20 December. The design of the project was an attestation to the successful cooperation of representatives of different nationalities together with the acquisition of Latvian and Latgalian traditions, the wisdom of life. The purpose of the activities of the project is to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge of ancient Latvian and Latgalian traditions in the form of lectures, practices and creative workshops, to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between different nationalities and generations.
The target group of the project was Ozolaines parish residents of different nationalities and generations: members of the folklore group “Zealand” with families, the youth club “Ozo”, the parish family with children, the members of the foundry basic school folklore “Liepiņa”, as well as any other lead. Participation in project activities was free of charge.
The following activities took place within the framework of the project:
• 02.02.2018. “Candle vocals” folklore and parish inhabitants and candlelight with meister Nanditu Kirejeva;
• 09.02.2018. Rotating masterclass — root-making - at rotating Riharda Cibule;
• 24.03.2018. Ieva Pegote lectures “development of clothing in Latgale and Latvia in the 18 th and 19 th centuries” and “collection and wear of the 19 th century clothing”;
• 07.04.2018. Visit to the Museum of Latgale Culture, the exhibition “dedication of the first Latgale Congress 100-year” and “Latgale ceramic treasure through time circle”;
• 17.04.2018. Masterpiece of posters at the masters Andra Kachkane; “Rookshop” with Senior Club “fire”;
• 29.05.2018. “Handshop” with an ancient club “fire”;
• 19.06.2018. Anglelica Jusko-Schtekel lecture on “family and anniversary traditions in Latgale”;
• 22.06. 2018. The masterpiece of the League Release crown and the flower pub.
Project “folklore school 2” (Proj.nr. Project No 2017-3-TRK014) was implemented with financial support of the National Cultural Capital Fund (CKF) of EUR 700,00. Total budget of the project: EUR 914,00, of which 214,00 EUR - Ozolaines parish co-financing.
