Remote training – challenge for pupils, teachers and parents

An emergency situation has been announced in the country, and thus everyone, namely every national, employer and worker, must assume not only responsibility under all restrictions, but also take appropriate measures restricting the prevalence of the new coronavir during the emergency.
The Government Order establishes strict restrictive measures and precise indications of interruption of institutions and the provision of remote measures.
As early as 13 March, the training process in schools was interrupted in the municipality of Rezekne, while in pre-school educational institutions the activities of duty groups were ensured, taking into account all the necessary measures, as well as by confirming that the child and family had not been abroad and had not been in contact with Covid-19 sick or contact persons, while the parents do not have any chance to ensure the care of the child. On 13 March, 256 students from all 930 students visited kindergartens and 83 on 19 March.
In the pupils' holidays, teachers had a tremendous job working on their distance learning from 23 March. Using all forms of communication - e-mail, telephone, sms, WhatsApp, e-class, mykoob.lv, communication with pupils, teachers and parents on the course of learning is ensured. Using different e-platforms - uzdevumi.lv, soma.lv, maconis.zvaigzne.lv, manaklase.weebly.com, fizmix.lv, letonika.lv, Google Classroom - provides learning substance learning remotely. Teachers are prepared to make video explanations for the learning of complex learning substances to be sent to students. Also in interest education, sports school, music school, art school and special school, the learning process is to be organised remotely, i.e. students should be asked to do their own work to be performed until a certain time in accordance with his or her individual interests and needs. The centralised exams that were scheduled for this week have been moved to Maya. If the training is to be carried out at a distance in sufficient quality and the emergency situation will not be extended, we can hope that the school year will not be extended.
This is a challenge for all of us, especially teachers, pupils and parents, where everyone will have to invest their own work through different information technology tools, be faced with Internet traffic breaks and potential overload, with late, paused, or system-cleared text messages, e-mails, a feedback teacher – a student – parents. Many video conferences, live shows, guidelines for remote learning, many e-platforms grant free offers, have been developed at the present time as a result of a large number of different material on the planning and progress of learning by the Ministry of Education and Science. The call for parents to play a regular interest in the course of the learning process remotely, if there are any uncertain questions - a request for writing, calling class nurse, subject teacher, school director, educational administration (Guntars ants, tel.) 29495624). This is an emergency, so we will be responsible in exceptional circumstances, keeping peace and sacrificing each other.
