Audriņu primary school students learn Latvia
“Little babies” – students of classes 1-3 - continue to know their homeland – Latvia. Therefore, on 17 November, before the celebration of the 97 th anniversary of the election of the Republic of Latvia, Oksana Brockans (class 1), Alīna Krasovska (class 2), Tatjana Vabale (class 3), and the technical support of the informatics teacher Ludmila Fiodorova, organised a competition for the primary pupils “my Latvia”.
All children were divided into four groups: “villages”, “marshes”, “Business” and “oak”. At first, the pupils were asked to interactive quiz questions – the national anthem, the flag, the coat of arms, the great people.
The children drew, painted, adhesive. They were offered a great chance not only to repeat, but also to learn new knowledge of our country.
At the end of the event, all the small participants received the amazement awards made by teachers.
The latest school age is a sensitive period for the development of positive personalities, including the promotion of patriotism. Audriņu elementary school learning forces seek to raise children's pride of their country and a dignified attitude towards its history.
