On 17 May, the National Fire-Fire and Rescue Service marked his professional festival – the fireman and the rescue day, and invited him to visit the informative afternoon. Classes 1 and 2 of the Audriņu primary school, as well as classes 6 and 8, went to the part of Rezekne to familiarise themselves with the daily firefighters.

On the opening day, with great interest, children listened to an exhaustive story of service activities, the importance of compliance with fire safety rules in daily life. THE VUGD staff showed the fire station and showed THE VUGD technique, as well as allowing testing and filling the fire suit or protective suit, providing answers to all questions of interest, as well as reminding them of safety regulations and telling them about the possibilities of becoming a fireman and rescuer in the future.

The children were very excited by the opportunity to view and contemplate the special equipment of firefighters. We did not miss the great opportunity to sit in a real firefighter. At the end of the study excursion, each of the children tried to hit a water jet from a large hydrant bucket. With splashes, but fun! Many pupils inspired their willingness to learn the profession of firefighters because it was built and interesting.
