Education

ON 4 July, Audriņu primary school pupils took a ferry from Ventspils port to the German city of Shelma, where they would participate in a six-day camp. Such an opportunity for pupils and their accompanying teachers was provided by the German police association in cooperation with the Latvian Union of Marino.
Although the implementation of holiday camps does not really fall within the main tasks of the German police association, the association is working broadly and long-term with social and humanitarian support programmes in both Latvia and other countries that need additional support. Latvia has been working closely with Latvia since 1995.
The German police association volunteers have organised a wide variety of programmes, with various leisure activities, sports games, competitions, the possibility of using a pool and sports hall, going to travel so that the camp can be so content and interesting.
