In a beautiful winter day, when the sun was with “teeth”, when Snowball was out, THE Audriņu primary school pupils, together with the other Audriņu, were celebrating the fun and jokful Masļeņicz, a fun from the winter.
These are the sun festivals where people greet the sun after the long winter, joining the winters and greeting the spring. AT Audriņu, the Head of the Cultural House, Tamara Smirnov, took care that everyone would be fun and pleasant for all the coming dancing, joining and participating in Youtras's activities. After the activity, everyone went to burn a straw doll and went into a circular dance that symbolizes the winter and means that, in this way, they all said goodbye to the next year. Two teams - “winter” and “spring” - struggled for victory in Youtras. When almost overweight was on the “winter” side, new forces came to help and the “spring” team won. In the urra! The massacre leaves, the winter with it, and spring comes in its place!
The massacre celebration also involves delicious dignity. The main food and festival symbol are pancakes – the symbol of sun and fertility. Each participant was a patient with delicious pancakes and hot tea, which was provided by Nadejda Ivanova and Martin Brock. Thank you!
