Education

On 28 October 2019, the Audriņu primary school students went to visit Aglona as part of the “Latvian School Finish” programme on 28 October 2019. The pupils knew the museum of Aglona's bread, had a wooden sculpture complex in the hill of the King of Christ, as well as the Holnezer of the mystery.
In the museum of bread we were met by the landlord in the Latgalian People's tērpā, with the People's songs and the latgalic speech. With the help of the housekeepers, each pupil created his own bread bribe. While the bread was baked, the pupils learned how hard they had to work to produce grain from a small grain, then grain the flour and baked bread from the grain. The boys checked how hard the funeral was, but the girls tried to get a hand in the flour. Everyone admitted that it was a hard work. We had a chance to enjoy a delicious rye bread, a barely baked cheese pie and a healthy herbal tea with honey.
In the course of the event, the children learned how to behave politely at the table, which is the tradition of baking, eating and storing Latgale bread. The housewife, with great love for children, found that the bread was not just food – the bread is a source of strength, the bread is home to blessing and prosperity. And then the long waiting moment was there – the basket was hot, scented rye bread. The children were surprised at how beautiful the bribe had succeeded, decorated with each of his characters. The children admitted that a hard work, love and great patience should always be made on the table. Many lessons will be used in the day-to-day learning work.
Sincere thanks to the museum's mistress for teaching both big and small to love and respect the bread! Your home always smells fresh fried bread and your hands keep love, baked.
The scent of barely baked bread went to a wooden sculpture complex of Christ's royal mountain. A beautiful sculpture park with high wooden sculptures with biblical images was created in the mountainous area, looking at the wooden church, the paradise garden, and the Noah Ark. We closed the excursion with a picture of the mysterious Chortock or Velnezer. The pupils learned the stories of the lake and enjoyed its silence and peace, as there was no bird or insect.
Such training excursions represent class collective and improve the understanding of the learning substance and strengthen knowledge.
