Education

The project week “I'm creating Latvia, i do Latvia - richer, smarter!” in the framework of THE 3 rd, 4 th classes of the elementary school visited Latgale cultural history museum in Rezekne. The pedagogical interactive educational activity of the museum “mysteries of subterranean depths” became a great assistant in the implementation of the goal – encouraging pupils to explore cultural historical and societal processes, to promote the development of versatile personality and to inspire further learning.
Many people think that museums are obsolete in the past. We, the little babies, are convinced that they are like historical reference stocks, manuals, only live illustrations.
The intelligent and knowledgeable guide, with an exciting narrative, entered us in an ancient past where both powerful knights and charming princesses survived.
Our small “wedding” asked a lot of questions for the museum worker and received full and interesting answers.
The organisers of the lesson were very creative and with great idea. They took care of the small history researchers in the basement of a real adventure in the basement of the museum. With some satisfaction, the children took part in the excavation! Found a whole range of artifacts - old coal iron, dish fragments, bones, root …
We went home with impressions. We call on everyone to take over the example of our good practice: regular attendance of museums. There is a huge range of new knowledge, discoveries, and adventures.
