Do you remember the book about the red-haired girl with different colored socks Peppy Garsock and her friends? There is a reading of books in the dark evenings, so the appropriate event in this damp autumn is a week of Nordic literature that is organized in Latvia for not the first year.
As part of these activities, students of classes 4 and 5 of the elementary school of Audriņu visited THE Audriņu parish library, as if they were sitting in Pepia Garsock's birthday celebrations in a mansion house “chicken leg” to listen to the librarian Margaret Platonova's narrative of the history of the Swedish writer Astro Lindgrin's book “Pepium Garzeķe” and listened to read-read fragments.
She was 37 years old when she discovered the idea of thinking and telling stories that the children liked to listen to. The first listener was the writer's seven-year-old daughter, Karin, who was very seriously ill at that moment. She asked him to tell her about Peppy Garsock before she slept, a girl whose name Karyn thought herself. The stories about the red-haired girl were happy to listen to both the writer's daughter and her friends.
Pepy is a symbol of childhood miracles when everything seems to be possible. Pepy can live alone, may not go to school, sleep all night, and learn Irish dances, can fantasy and tell Saldus lies -

“In Argentina, it is strictly forbidden to learn home tasks. It sometimes happens that one or the other argentine child enters the wardrobe and is secretly studying the tasks of the school, but God will protect it if it is his mother. '

and otherwise, as opposed to an adult generally accepted understanding of what children should be and what they should do.

-'Look, Peppy, you're wet,' said Annie anxiously.
“What about it?” 'Who said that children should be dry in all ways?' Peppy said.

Peepy can prove that the spirit of the liberty is full of compassion, feelings and loyalty, and the feeling of immense justice. And these are things that aren't obsolete even 80 years after the book. We'll read ourselves, and we recommend that others get acquainted with Peepy Garsock adventures!
At the end of the event, the pupils watched, with enthusiasm, small pieces of multimedia film about Jautras, energetic and adventures in the Almighty Peppy school, along with her friends Annika and Tommy. As a real friend, Peppy defends the physically weaker school comrades, amuses the classmates, in response to the teacher's questions, “do you not know how much it is 7 +5?” Then the children had the chance to feel in Pepy's image and take this moment in photographs – see how different Peppy had come! – try to find eight differences in the pictures!
