Daugavpils ice hockey hall was held at the 2017 Rēzekne District Cup.

On April 1, or better known as a joke day, Daugavpils ice hockey hall took place at the 2017 Rēzekne District Cup in hockey, where 7 youth and men teams from Rezekne municipality, Rezekne City and Ludza municipality took place in the area. “ASILA”, “Cirma Station”, “Old Books”, “Rittings”, “Ilzeskalns”, “Rezgola” and “WS-TM” took part in the cup.
A total of 13 games were taken in the cup. The 1 st overall assessment (for the third consecutive year) was won by the experienced Rēzekne team “ASILA”, with a convincing result of 4: 0 win THE Gaigalavas parish hockey team “WS-TM”. In the small final, the 3 rd spot was won by Rezekne's lead team “Rezgola”, which won the Cirmas parish team “Cirma Station” with a score of 5: 2.
The best tournament players were also honoured at the end of the cup. According to the players' positions in the area, the best protector of the Rēzekne District Cup in the hockey was determined by Arvis Strods (“Rezgola”), the best goalkeeper – Peter Pavlov (“Cirma Station”), while the name of the best attacker was received by Kalvis Dobkevics from the “WS-TM” team. Igor Martišov from the ASILA team was named as the best player of the cup.
Although the number of teams was less than last year, it did not interfere with the struggle, the desire to win, and the honour of representing his village, city, municipality.
