A video greeting from Brussels was addressed by Inese Vaidere, Member of the European Parliament, who gave his special award: “I am very pleased that Latgale has its own language that is being copied. The Latgalian language is unique with many sounds that are not in other languages, so i am very pleased that it is alive, because many European languages die, the Latgalians are certainly much happier than the elzasites in Strasbourg, because they speak only about a thousand people in their language and are threatened with disappearance.” Inese Vaidere's special prize - a trip to Brussels - was received by Tilja High School teacher scene and Dagda High School teacher Harold Kavinsky.
Financial event was provided by the Rēzekne Technology Academy, Preilu, Ludza, Vilaka, Prize, Livana, Rēzekne Municipality and the Latgalian cultural association.
The final event was invited to participate in previous competitions, as well as any interested party. As usual, Latgale schools, libraries, museums were given the latest editions in Latgalian language.
