For young people

Dricānu young people, together with the social enterprise SIA “Puordare”, participated in Homo ecos: “You're first where others will be tomorrow!” by organising the event “RePapeirs”.
Project applications always contain “long-term results of project activities”. So when you write any project, you need to highlight its activities and results, which will also be felt after a year, two or ten of our day-to-day activities are of long-term importance. What we eat, how we use or do not use household objects and many other living things, leaves long-term consequences for our children and grandchildren. The section of the long-term development strategy of Latvia on possible solutions to sustainable lifestyles calls for the introduction of a change in the educational programmes of the environment, providing that environmental education should become a major contributor to sustainable lifestyles.
The project “is the first place where others will be tomorrow!” in the framework of the training of four regions of the regions and their parents on the ̌ of non-existent ami and the possibility of changing the ̧ practice of vin, that it also contributes to a long-term long-term activity of Li. After the end of the training cycle, young people in their cities and parish organised events. The initiatives were very different: blogs for Zero Waste the way of living, watching the film, preparing veganic meals and learning new recipes based on the knowledge gained during training on the principles of non-waste or “Zero-Waste”, sustainable lifestyles, UN sustainability development objectives and their use in practice.
On 3 March, “RePapeirs” was organised at Dricānu youth centre “Kukuji”, in which children and young people were told who was Zero-Waste, what are the cycles of Zero-Waste (reduction, reuse, etc.) and practical masters in the recycling of recycled paper, during which it was stressed how much resources and energy are saved when the paper is recycled. At the end of the day, the participants were pleased by the Garda coffee pause for which local catering company SIA “LN demo” took care.
The participants of the event acknowledged that they had acquired new information and complemented existing knowledge, as some young people felt that: Zero-Waste there is only a sorting of waste, but it is the daily habits of our common sustainable future.
The project “is the first where others will be tomorrow!” is funded by the Latvian Environment Protection Fund.
