Dricānu young people promote environmentally friendly habits
Environmental problems are currently one of the most topical topics of discussion in both business and public institutions. This is reflected in the European Parliament's decisions on both landfill and sorting and the banning of certain types of plastic products in store shelves. And only people's attitudes and behavioural change can reduce the amount of waste in the environment.
In Dricānu youth initiative “Success bags” was implemented at the youth Upcycle “Kukuji”. The aim of the project is to promote environmentally friendly shopping habits by organising sewing and screening workshops for children and young people. The creative workshops took place both on 14 September and on 5 October, in which the participants acquired the sewing skills and supplemented their knowledge of the environmental impact of plastics and how it was possible to replace them on a daily basis. The most susceptible young people put together two fruit/vegetable bags that will be used in the future. After the sewing workshops, the premises were prepared for work with sneezers. It is one of the trapter paths where nylon or metallic network is used as trapheres. Such traphered printing is used not only in printing but also in textiles, electronics, car, glass, ceramic and other factories.
The project was implemented thanks to the funding of the Rēzekne municipality's educational administration.
