Dricānu High School - Conversation for Global Education

On Friday, October 9, Dricānu High School visited the association “Green Freedom” and a global education expert in Latvia PHD Inga Belousa. The expert conducted a number of lessons, with students and teachers discussing global education.
The lessons covered several interesting topics: Millennium Development Goals; Sustainable Development Goals, Coffee Story, Fair Trade. Astonishing, however, the lessons of such serious themes were in an uncompressed atmosphere and encouraged pupils to discuss and learn more about how events in the world affect each of us and how our actions affect people and processes outside Latvia.
The last years of Latvia have made it possible to understand how much the world can influence us, and therefore the updating of global themes at school is a significant step towards the desire and the ability to follow the current developments in the world.
