Security Days Audriņu at Basic School

The fun summer time came, the cold autumn days came. The children started the school gaitas. Read, write, calculate - everything must be done for children, everything must be done! Learning of these skills is, of course, a very important task of the learning process. But not less important for a child is to live in a safe world, feel protected, be able to take care of itself, find a solution in the difficult situations of life.
In order to achieve the objective of preparing students for practical life - Audriņu primary school training forces organised a safety week, a class hour cycle on security issues. But primary school students, in order to strengthen theoretical knowledge with a practical basis, went to the Eastern Latvian creative service centre “Zeimuļs”, where there is an open class of security training for children. Along with the educators, the policemen, during their exciting practice, remembered how to behave on the road, how to act in extreme situations such as rescue services, where they could seek help.
Each child had the opportunity to participate in road traffic, driving with a “machine”, bicycle, or crossing the intersection, taking into account traffic lights.
At the end of the lesson, the most active children received small prizes from the national police - label.
The acquisition of safe living skills IN Audriņu primary school children did not end with the education hours and the “Zeimuel” visit. We are also participating in the Jimba School. Lily Šodnaka is the social pedagogy of the Education Support Centre for Education Administration of Rezekne. 9 lessons are foreseen for learners, in which, through interactive learning methods, they will again and once again turn the foundations of a safe environment.
