THE European Heritage Days Lūznavas Manor will celebrate this year with exhibitions, excursions and ancient music.

The beginning of September is traditionally the time of European cultural heritage, which focuses on the diversity of protected monuments, the identification of values, preservation as well as cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable development. This year, the European Heritage Days, focusing on “restoration”, will take place between 12 and 15 September. Lūznavas Manor celebrates the event on September 14, offering interesting excursions, ancient music behavior, and several exhibitions.
In 2019, the theme of European Heritage Days “restoration” was chosen to focus more on the challenges of the development of the restoration industry and the development of the profession, to strengthen professionalism, to call for dialogue with the general public, to promote the understanding of authenticity, the assessment and respect of the information and sensation of the original substance. During the Heritage Days in Latvia, the National Cultural Heritage Board will invite to look at the achievements of the restoration industry since restoration of independence, promoting good practice – objects in which research is based, restoration of high-quality modern heritage preservation.
The Rēzekne District at Lūznavas Manor European Heritage Day 2019 will be held on 14 September. The European Heritage Days programme AT Lūznavas at Manor will begin 16.00 with an exploratory excursion at Manor, paying attention TO the restoration of Lūznavas manor. As from 13 September to 10 October, a poster exhibition“ tomorrow's inheritance ”dedicated to the theme of cultural heritage, which is to be seen in collaboration with the Götte Institute in Riga, is presented at the estate. It will see 14 European artists' posters focusing on the succession of cultural heritage by sharing the creative reflections as it might look after 100 years.
The European Heritage Days are a thematic programme of cultural events designed by the owners of heritage sites, enthusiasts and specialists, aimed at bringing people closer to cultural heritage by raising awareness of the protection of monuments – the diversity of protected monuments, the identification of values, preservation, as well as cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable development. They have started in 1984 in France as open-door historic monuments and have become a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission since 1999, involving 50 countries that have acceded to the European cultural convention. The European Heritage Days are celebrated in Latvia since 1995, paying attention annually and involving society in the preservation and development of cultural heritage and cultural diversity, as well as education on cultural heritage values.
In 2015, after the opening and autumn of an ambitious renovation, THE Lūznavas manor complex opened for public viewing is one of the cultural historical monuments of the National Park of Razna, which contains the building building of the Jews, several farm buildings and a 24 ha wide estate park. IN the list OF National Protected Cultural Monuments, Lūznavas Manor was included in 1977, while the European Heritage Day event has been a member of the Manor since 2016.
