Education

Dricānu eco-school, together with the Inter-Channel Schools - Eglaine primary school, primary school of Mezvids, primary school of the station, the secondary school of the hubs, the Prize State School, the primary school of border guards, the Vestiena Basic School on 25 April was taught. The Ecomeasure “Spiritual Laws” took place in cooperation with the European Parliament Information Office in Latvia.
Jolanta Bogustova informed the European decision-making bodies, the role of national, municipal and catering professionals in the care of safe food in Latvia and his co-operation, encouraging pupils to debate. It gave students and teachers a few things to think about and look a little differently. The present received information material on the European Union, Parliament. We found out how many things we don't know about. For example, rainbow sweets “Skittles” are used as a natural colouring agent for beetle wings.
All ecoschools had to prepare a presentation on the traditions of their school. Many ideas were interesting and valuable to borrow. Inese Atmane, senior food Inspector Inese Atmane, was told about food safety in Latvia. We concluded from this that some things at school level might be trying to change, even the school's kitchen menu, in such a way as to reduce food waste in the kitchen.
All eco-friends were randomly divided into 4 groups. At the same time there were 3 open hours - allergens for food, genetically modified food and new food. These hours were led BY Dricānu high school girls – Caitty Kindzule, Daiga Troška, Imalda Kazusheva. At the same time, the creative workshop “other pancakes” (non-allergenic) was held, led by Agija Tutane and Victoria Samule. The puzzle dough was produced by young people from almond milk, maize flour, sugar and eggs. At the same time, the ecoteachers learned global knowledge at Dricānu secondary school teachers, menthores Inguna Butkānes.
The culmination of the event, which all the ecofriends had taken and waited, was tasting. All flavours of taste were palutated, ranging from saline to sweet, from known to unknown, mainly self-prepared production. Our school restaurants had taken care of the mafins with honesty berries and chia seed. We concluded that European tracks were also Dricānu in secondary school.
In the event of the event, the 7 th grade school students had grown green thanks! – a small cherry-tomato plant. So that you all have green thoughts and more greener works!
