Experts in Rezekne will discuss the importance of efficient forest management in Latvia, especially in improving the competitiveness of regions

On October 8, that year at 11.00 In Rezekne, vacation alley 115B, the association “green houses” of the University of Rezekne, in collaboration with the Latvian Forest Owner Society and the Rezekne High School, will organise an expert discussion “forest – the beginning of the road for a prosperous economy”.
Kristaps Ceplis, member of the group “Green Home”, emphasizes: “the forest sector has traditionally been one of the cornerstones of Latvia's economy, with a very significant impact on the welfare of the regions. The growth potential of the sector remains high, and only one of us depends on whether we will use it for the future development of our region."
The discussion “forest – the beginning of the road for a prosperous economy” is to share the experience so far and to agree on further action to promote the sustainable development of the forest sector and the economy of Latvia. Special attention will be paid to effective forest management, the development of cooperation for the development of the region, which brings together entrepreneurs, higher education representatives and other experts.
The expert discussion in its experience, reports and recommendations on opportunities to develop Latvia's economy with the help of the forest sector will be shared by a number of important experts:
a member of the “Green Home” Board, Kristaps Ceplis;
• Chief Executive Director of the Latvian Commercial Federation Kristaps Klaus;
the Chairman of the Latvian Forest Owners' Board, Arnis Muižnieks;
the Director of THE “Latvian State Forests” unit “seed and plantations” Guntis Gradāns;
the owner of the “vanagi” farm Artis Vaivods;
Rezekne High School Lector Sergei Kodor.
The expert discussion will discuss issues such as the future potential of the forest sector, the role of the sector in the regions of Latvia and their development, outlets and development opportunities. An unmanned flying object or drone will also be shown at the end of the discussion.
