“Erudite” travel again

On the morning of the hot time, on the morning of June 6, Rēzekne and Viļānu, the participants of the competition “erudites” went out again, this time by Latvia.
First stop of the trip – Tērvete's 12 th century wooden castle and museum. When we looked at the exhibition of the museum, we learned of ancient undermeat and the history of Tērvete from the 9 th to 13 th century. We saw the magazine of the Tērvete Castle, the pictures of the undermeat castle, the weapons, the objects of domestic life, the subcutaneous uniforms, and the built-up 12 th-century Tērvete tree palace, located next to the museum.
The Tērvete butterfly house, which was the subject of the next inspection, saw butterflies from a variety of tropical forests from around the world – Asian exotic colour butterflies, South American Dižtauriņu and African unique butterflies. We did not only see the colour of the rainbow, the most striking shape and the butterflies of different sizes, but also enjoyed a real tropical climate on our skin. We also learned about the design and life cycle of butterflies, development, characteristic features and feeding habits. During the visits of the Tērvete butterflies, we met the variety of wet tropical plants, found their names and looked at the aquatic inhabitants – fish and turtles.
Then we went to Rundāle Palace – the greatest baroque and rococo architectural and art monument in Latvia. We looked at the golden grass, the white grass and the big gallery, and looked at the Duchess's apartments, in front and private apartments, and in the Duchess's rooms.
At the end of the journey we visited the private museum of Retro, where Edgar Gasun's masterful hands had expected his “second youth” not only to be a proud sandwich, both THE BMW and the limousine, which was now ready to launch the new pair. Several motorbikes and mopeds are also seen on two wheels.
Positive emotions and new knowledge came back home. It is a pleasure that, thanks to the support of the municipality of Rezekne, it was possible to learn a small particle from our country.
