3 November at 13.00 In the municipality of Rēzekne, the liberation alley 95a, in Rezekne, we call on the film-monthly thinkers “what you're going to sit, the puzzle” event. During this time, a documentary “man without impact” will be shown (from Impact to me), there will be a discussion. A Latvian platform for development cooperation (PAGES) is organised in Latvia in collaboration with the municipality of Rezekne. The month of the film will be one of THE social campaigns organised BY THE PAGE for a fair international tax policy “what you're going to sit, their puzzles”. Entry into the event free of charge.
The documentary film “man without influence” is a 2009 documentary film that shows a one-year American writer and environmental defender Colin Beaven and his family life when they carried out an experiment in New York, leaving no impact on the environment.
“The big question in this experiment was whether one person could influence anything.” I am concerned that people say that the actions of the individual are not important, but the individual's actions lead us to get involved, “the main character of the film is characterised by the film's main character, K.Bevans.“ Why should i wait for the government to do something? ”Why do i have to wait for the big companies to do something?“ Why don't i do anything? ”
PAGE Director Inese Vaivare on the month of this year's film: “The documentary movies throughout Latvia ARE organized for a third time. It becomes a good tradition that we develop and continue, in such a way as to talk about topical global themes and projects. In contrast to the previous two months of the film, this time, we have complemented the screening of the film with the events of the discussion event, as the experience shows that such thinking movies give rise to a series of reflections and questions that the viewers have a desire to discuss and understand deeper.”
More about the campaign:
