Funding for environmental quality and climate change improvements

WITHIN the FRAMEWORK OF THE LIFE Programme, Eu funding for natural, environmental and climate solutions is available. The total amount of investments in the period 2014-2020 is eur 3.4 billion, which is intended to carry out innovative and sustainable improvements in environmental quality and climate change. The aid intensity is up to 55% of the total project costs. Any legal person (merchants, municipalities, public authorities, NGOs, universities, research institutes etc.) may apply for funding.
Support is available for projects aimed at the introduction, testing and demonstration of innovative natural and environmental solutions as well as projects contributing to climate change adaptation and reduction.
Examples of topics to be supported:
- develop and test innovative technologies and products (starting with TRL 4);
- improve the production processes of products in accordance with higher environmental standards;
- to manage, rebuild and protect species and habitats;
- organize information campaigns by changing audience behaviour;
- etc.
