Florball tournament in Dricans

Dricānu high school young people are active florball players, so there was an idea of organising a florball tournament at school. Thanks TO THE support of THE Dricānu High School Administration and the Rēzekne municipality, the first florball tournament was held in Dricans on 25 February. Six teams took up: Dricāni, Viļāni, “Viļāni U14”, “Rezekne 35 +”, “Spr” and “wolves”. A circular tournament was played in which teams played games each with each one, and the four best teams were able to be semi-final. A total of 34 intense and breathless games were taken together, all teams struggling to the final and eventually winners.
The 4 th place was won by the “Spr” team, with a semi-final match with the team “Viļāni”. In a very tight play, “Viļāni” won the chance to play in the final (1: 5). The 3 rd place was won by the “Rezekne 35 +” team, who went to the team OF Dricānu (4: 2) and then took the game for 3 rd place with the team “Spiker”, and only in the post-game series “Rezekne 35 +” was superior (4: 3). The 2 nd place ranked THE Dricānu team that lost Viļānu to the team. “Viļāni” became “Dricānu bucket winners” (1: 5).
The aim of the competitions was to promote the promotion of an active lifestyle to the people of Rezekne District. All the teams were equally strong, some missed a bit of luck, but certainly all the teams would meet in other tournaments!
