In preparation FOR XXVI's general Latvian song and XVI dance festival, on April 1, 2017, a survey of the Rēzekne Corps was held, which is an important event of the song and dance festival. The aim of the choir is to promote, develop, develop and further improve the most important expression of the traditions of songs and dance festivals – the tradition of choir singing, particularly by promoting performance a cappella.

Views are an important preparatory step for the 2017 events of the State-of-the-art choirs – the concert concert concerts of songs and dance festivals in Talsi on 27 May, Jekabpils on June 10, Dikļi on July 1 and Riga at the Freedom Monument on July 21, as well as Latvia's Senior Choir festival in Sigulda on June 18. Traditionally, the qualitative and quantitative composition of songs and XVI dance festivals is also identified.

The choirs had to sing three songs, two lotteries and one free-choice sound. The jury was rated by the jury in three members of Cora's music experts: Janis White – Sigulda Coru County conductor; Ira Birzins – Ogre's choir county conductor; Ugis Praulins – Composer.

  • Sherjan and Dricānu parish female choir “TUNADZE” – grade I,
  • Vērēmu mixed choir of the People's House “WIND” - grade II,
  • Maltas parish cultural house female choir “MADARINA” – grade II.

XVI's general Latvian song and XVI dance festival will be held in Riga from 30 June to 8 July 2018. The current celebrations of songs and dance will take place in the celebration of the Latvian national centenary.
