Global education seminar in Sigulda

Representatives of the Education Development Centre (IAC) project “Global Education in Social Sciences of Social Sciences” organised by the Ministry of Education and Development of Rezekne took part in a cycle of three publicity seminars organised within the framework of the Education Development Centre (IAC) from 15 to 17 October of that year in Sigulda.
A cycle of three workshops had the opportunity to consult a variety of practical methods to integrate the competences of the 21 st century into learning and education.
THE IAC team had prepared attractive lessons on various topics of global education - fair trade, migration processes, media literacy, global process interactions. The participants of the seminars were presented with examples of good practice of the project, with the developed global educational programmes and learning materials that have been created during the three years of the project.
In the municipality of Rezekne, the global education project “Global Schools EYD2015- bridge to a hopeful future is confirmed,” so the seminar visit to the representatives of the municipality of Rezekne was an excellent opportunity to gain experience from experienced colleagues, as well as to obtain new contacts during the seminar.
The seminar gave the opportunity to meet representatives of educational institutions, schools, municipalities who had not worked directly with global/development education themes so far.
