Familiarize with the military service with the National Guard 36. Battle support battalion

On October 17, Rēzekne municipality county in Anchupan Kartodroma, National Guard 36. Battalion of the Battle of Rēzekne and the Rēzekne municipality of Rēzekne will organize the Militarised relay “acquainted with military service”.
The militarised relay will take place within a career week and will enable young people to examine their abilities and expertise in various disciplines, including force exercises, training grenades, shooting, topography and history.
13 teams have been invited to participate in the event. More than 100 pupils from the municipality of Rezekne and Rezekne are planned to participate in the event.
The militarised relay “acquainted with military service” is organised with the aim of presenting young people with careers in the professional military service at the National Guard 36 in an interactive manner. Fighting in the battalion of support, as well as promoting entrepreneurship and motivation to learn and select future occupations and educational pathways in accordance with their own capacities and interests.
This year's career week runs from 14 to 18 October. A career week is an annual event cycle, during which young people have the opportunity to learn and plan their future activities.

Battalion of the battle is a professional service soldier unit, which is currently being actively assembled and provides extensive opportunities for Latvian citizens to acquire the profession of soldier with further service in Luznava or Daugavpils. The National Guard is the largest structure of national armed forces and the basis of territorial protection. Latvian nationals who have reached 18 years of age but are not more than 55 years of age shall be admitted to the National Guard.
