Possibility to submit projects for Latvia's national centennial target “Latvia-100”

Organisations, associations and foundations are invited to submit projects to the Latvian Cultural Capital Fund (CKF) target programme “Latvia – 100” competition. The submission of projects will take place between 2 October and 24 November 2017. 12.00.
The target programme is designed to ensure the preparation and implementation of the national centenary of Latvia's centennial celebrations and the preparation and implementation of quality cultural events and developments, giving priority to developments aimed at co-operation, child, youth engagement and the use of modern artistic expressions and communication tools, including technology opportunities, as well as focusing on providing accessibility to various groups of society, including people with special needs, families with children, seniors, remote regions, Latvian minorities, etc.
The competition shall support large national, international and local Community and regional projects which:
- with creative means and active participation of society, the knowledge and understanding of the nature of Latvia's statehood, the history and prerequisites of its creation, including revealing the role of culture in the process of nation and state formation;
- the creative means honour important personalities and groups of people who have donated their lives and lives in different times, their knowledge and talent for Latvia and its prosperity, as well as highlighting important values of Latvia's country and further development;
- focused on the involvement of society in the collection and enrichment of the cultural environment of Latvia, which creates new permanent values, combining traditional values/skills, their contemporary expression and technological possibilities;
- implemented as a result of civil initiatives and municipal activities and synergies, which reach a wide and diverse audience;
- foresees the preparation and implementation of international activities in Latvia outside Latvia, particularly with regard to countries that have played a significant role in the Latvian country or countries that have been celebrating centennials in the near future, including Estonia, Lithuania, Finland, Poland, Iceland, United Kingdom, USA.
