Ieva Wugule treats patients who don't speak but look at them

The parish of the parish of Gaigalava parish is always living. Three friendly tacks meet each guest in the courtyard. “This is Jessica's caramel, soon they'll be babies if they want, they can sign up.” Jessica could be called a student, because with me to Jelgava, he was driving to Latvian agricultural university dormitories when he was studying. All dogs are with herbs and well-grown, real assistants for hunters. The tacks are my first great love, "says the housewife, the young veterinarian, Ieva Wugule. It is a festival – she has just participated in an auction of the premises of a local government, where she has entered into a lease agreement on premises for her private practice in veterinary medicine. Ieva Vugule is the first of 13 new entrepreneurs of Rezekne, who has already provided funding for the start-up and development of a business in THE COMPETITION organised by THE Foundation for the Development of Rural Economy, purchasing equipment for private practice. The competition with its projects was started by 64 entrepreneurs, while Ieva's idea of equipping private practice in veterinary medicine to provide aid to large and small animal animals received a positive assessment by the Commission.
While the rooms in the Gaigalava centre are still waiting for repair, the new equipment has not yet been removed from the boxes, Ieva is willing to share his joy. This is a microscope, a variety of bars, scales, sterilizer instruments, video otoscope, a table that will be designed for operations and other practical things that will be equipped with the intended spaces. All this is meant for large and small patients.
There are three large sheep farms in Gaigalava, and a farm in which Mangalica and Vietnamese pigs are grown. The demand for veterinary services is large because the nearest clinic is only in Rezekne.
There is also a chip reader among the new installations, as from 2016 all dogs and cats will have to be chipots. The purpose of the chuckling is to establish a common animal register in the country so that the animal's nationality can be determined as necessary. The control bodies will be able to impose a penalty on non-compliance with the chipoking rules.
The care of animals, bird care and treatment for Vugulis is both a profession and a great love since childhood. A multituded and colourless pack of large and small wings, like a mini in the zoo, is expected in the yard yard. In the winter, the birds are staying in a barn, but they walk into the envelope during warm weather.
The largest herd bird, a turkey male, is not angry, but a loving man in his lap. "My little son is not afraid of the turkey, friends. Gatim is a year and 8 months, but he has his own bird herd when he comes from kindergarten, his first job is to wear rubber boots and feed birds. She gave him a chicken, so tiny as a toy. Momma and i have shared passion – it is a collection, we are looking for a variety of new varieties from poultry farms. It is true that all welfare requirements are complied with, in the case of the grain of the breeders themselves, in addition to the trace elements, as well as the rearing. '
The children of the wickers have been raised in close contact with nature and day-to-day work. Ieva is the oldest among three sisters. Elina is studying at the Latvian Sea Academy, but the youngest, Anete, will end the Rēzekne State Gymnasium this year.
'That energy must be from my parents, Mom is very active, my grandmother. Daddy was originally a woodlander, but he is currently working as a logist. He had taken us to the forest since his childhood. There was a tradition in the family that we were going to see animals together in the evenings, as well as to get to know the nature.
We have been teaching children from the age of five, because the family has implemented a number of forest-related projects. Similarly, the forest days organised BY Latvijas Finieris are visited. The last year, our family's youngest representative, Gatis, was introduced to this nice tradition. "
Ieva has finished the Rēzekne State School, a school that will be reorganised this year. Ieva, with a good name, remembers the creative and active environment of the school, the teachers' collective and the director, Aivars Vilkasti.
Veterinary medical studies at Latvian Agricultural University in Jelgava followed. “We were two of Latgale, the eu and another boy from Daugavpils, but he stayed in Riga. Somehow fewer young people from Latgale choose to study veterinary medicine, perhaps because the road to this profession is very serious. We started around 70, until there was just about 30. '
Even now, after graduation, Ieva is still trying to raise his professional qualifications, learning at various courses, which is a mandatory rule, although several days' courses in Riga or Jelgava are not cheap. Well, there are parents, as well as sisters and several aunts who help to look at the son.
“The veterinarian is just like a human doctor, but they're more specialized, but we need to be wide-ranging. Only the human skeleton must know there, we need to know every piece of stone, both for domestic animals and for birds and exotic animals. And the patients can't tell you, just look at them. '
Ieva praises her teachers, the leaders of the traineeship, the Raitian Crown Cescent, the New Palace Dr Andris Skaparu, Ilmārs zemnieku Kegums, Uldi Eiduu and Arti Upenieku, SIA “Cirmas bekons”. They're all men, how is the woman going to deal with the big patients?
“Unfortunately, every year fewer men choose this profession when i finished, only seven boys were in the course.” The veterinary profession is physically heavy, especially when it is necessary to fix a large animal, well if there is a strong assistant in the blades. Precautions must also be taken and physical and moral hardness must be observed. Unfortunately, i can't help everyone and then it's sad. The animal's landlord must also cooperate with the doctor and, indeed, tell the whole situation in order to set up the correct diagnosis and treat it. 'A calf-extraction facility has also been purchased within the framework of the financing, so that it is possible to help cattle in burdensome childbirth. “It's not so that the tractor must be pulled out.” “There's been a lot.”
It seems that the day is more hours than others – she is still able to work in a wholesaler of veterinary medicinal products in Riga, serving a quail farm in Daugavpils District, assisting colleagues in one of Rezekne's clinics on holidays. Customers are not only in the municipality of Rēzekne, but also in Varakalans, Awards, Daugavpils, Livans, etc.
“I don't know, i don't know, life is on wheels.” But in this way, i would better understand the real situation in Latgale, which is not so brilliant. It has come to face that animal welfare is not respected, they are being treated incorrectly. I'm trying to use new medicines, new treatments, because medicine is developing all the time, something new must be tried. '
Now the repair of the premises should be started so that the new private practice site could open the door for the autumn. There is a lot of care and running, but Ieva is optimistic and does not regret that she returned to Latgale after studying. “Everyone in Riga is not as good as it looks, there is a lot of competition, struggling for his place under the sun, for his customers.”
The name of the private practice is not yet fictitious, but one Ieva knows well – there will be light windows and there will be a friendly and cheerful cab on the windowsill.
