A healthy lifestyle is used in ilzeskalns

For young people

From 4 to 8 July, the informal training project “modern young people – without modern technology” supported by the municipality of Rezekne was implemented in Ilzeskalns. The informal training encouraged young people living in the Rēzekne municipality to spend a useful period of time without the use of modern technologies. In training, sport was used as an educational method for young people to acquire life skills, change attitudes, conscious values and socially integrated society, and young people were informed how the knowledge, skills and skills acquired could be used on a daily basis.

Today, a large proportion of young people have difficulty communicating on the spot, so during the course of the project, the participants of each day of training in the morning of each day of training – tablets, smartphones and mobile phones – have been transferred to store so that they can only receive them at the end of the day. This method helped young people to develop not only the communication capabilities but also the justification and defense of their own opinion, since all day-long training participants had to contact, act and discuss only on-the-spot.

The first day of training took place in a creative workshop, a variety of familiarisation, “ice breaking”, team formation and costing activities and games. The participants acknowledged that it is easier for each other to familiarise themselves with such an informal atmosphere, with the help of activities and games.

On the second day of training, a sports expert Edgars Kļaviņš was visiting us, who, on the first half of the day, conducted seminar-training on the topic “healthy lifestyle and the eu”. They talked about the proper diet, the day regime and the importance of sport in human life. On the second half of the day, theoretical and practical training took place. Various types of modern labyrinth with digital chips took place. The orientation dragged both the larger and the younger training participants, as everyone wanted to do the distance, but the result was not dependent on the speed of running.

On the other hand, on the third day of training, tourism skills were learned under the direction of Vitalia. At the beginning of the day and at the time of the spare time, the participants were “charged” with different games and enthusiasm. In the course of the whole day, we are going to knock the knots and practically apply them – by making the stretcher, the staircase and securing the rope trail in the forest. Every member of the training could overcome himself and his fear, going through the rope trail across the gravel. Although no positive news could be seen in the weather, we didn't go and go on a trip to the lake. By the time of their journey, they were invited to read the garbage on the sides of the road. The most active “natural friend” was Ritvars Login. As they reached the destination and tents, the reported rainy cloud came. Another soaked only socks, and the socks remained dry. But we were a united team, and we helped each one to wait for the morning to come with equally strong rays. The evening and the next day spent an active and healthy time.

On the day of the training, we strengthened the team spirit by playing frites, bombs and other sports games. We gathered skills acquired in informal learning and discussed useful leisure opportunities. Despite the rainy travel day and other laws, the training participants were satisfied with the knowledge acquired and the time spent. They say thank you very much for the informal training of project funders, supporters and training managers.

As a continuation of the project idea of living healthy and sporting, on July 9, Ilzeskalna young people, in collaboration with Ilzeskalna parish administration, organised youth sports festivals “united sport”. This year, five teams participated in the team: APINITIS (Ilzeskalns), BIER, BROILEIB, VEREMS, ILZESKALNS. Persistently, Eric Giuls was struggling, but unfortunately, health problems prevented the best results from being shown.
