On the morning of October 2, the Rēzekne District reached number one, and Igors Kolosov, Member of the Rēzekne council, died suddenly from Sunday to Monday.
Born and raised IN Maltas parish, he lived permanently IN THE parish OF Silmalas. From 2005 until 2009 he was a member of THE Council OF THE COUNCIL OF Maltas, but after the establishment of the Rēzekne municipality, Igor Colosov was elected as a member of the “Alternative” political party of the municipality of Rezekne. Also that year, in the municipal elections held on 3 June, the voters trusted I. Colosov and he was re-elected as a member of the Rēzekne District Council. As a Member, Igor Colosov carried out a number of responsible tasks – he was a member of the Council of Supervisors of the National Authority for the Special Economic Zone of Rezekne, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Development. Recently, he was actively engaged in attracting new investors by organising discussions with many entrepreneurs who wanted to deploy their businesses in the area. Igor Colosov's energy and enthusiasm seemed inexhaustible. The work of a lawyer acquired by the Baltic Russian Institute (2003) was much helpful in the work.
Igor Colosov spent much of his time working with young people. He had a great deal of experience and special education in the field of sport, allowing the training of young people in Rēzekne in the Eastern neighbourhood.
The friends remember Igor Colosov as a responsive and good-natured man who was always willing to come to help at any time, but he was a good man, father and grandfather.
Goodbye from Igor Colosova will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 13.30 in the Orthodox Church of the Holy Queen of Rēzekne, in the alley OF Liberation 98A.
The municipality of Rēzekne expresses the deepest sympathy for the family of Igor Kolosov.
