Voldemar Silagails (June 2, 1958 – March 18, 2015)

On 18 March, at the age of 56, after a long struggle with serious illness, Voldemar Silagails, a long-standing head of the parish of Shergana, was elected as President of the Council 5 times, former member of the Rēzekne District Council, father and loving grandfather.

Voldemar was born on June 2, 1958 in Sherjan parish, which he has called his home. After graduating from the New Junior School, he then learned the electrician's trade in Frich Ross Maltas sovhoztechnicum. Working as an electrician, he also worked as an electrician, and an electrician. From 1990 until 2009, he worked as President of the Council for 20 years with great activity and responsibility, while from 2009 until 2015 was a member of the Management Board OF SIA “Sherjans”. From 2009 until 2013, Voldemar served as a member of the Rēzekne District Council and chaired the Standing Committee on Social Affairs and Health.

Voldemar Silagail had raised three children, now his face was a grandson and three granddaughters. Voldemar's heart was hunting – for years he was an enthusiastic hunter and an active member of the hunter association “hawk”.

Colleagues Voldemar is described as a fair and honest leader, as a friendly and responsive person who did not give any help or advice to anyone. Voldemar will always be remembered as a smiling, working, honest and helpful man who has given Sherjan parish for growth and development for his most active years.

At the time of sadness we are together and say the deepest sympathy to the family, relatives, colleagues and friends of Voldemar Silagails.
