The “Latvian School Finish” initiative during the II semester OF the Cruise School

Also in the second semester, the school pupils of cops continue to learn the offer of the “Latvian School Finish” initiative - to know and experience the cultural and natural values of Latvia. This time, the 1 st-6 th grade school students went to Daugavpils on 14 May.
Here students visited Marco Rootko's art centre and the science centre ZINOO. At the centre of Marco Rootko, the pupils met and looked at the best artist works of Latgale region, the competition exhibition “PEACE AND TENSION”. During the visit, students tried to determine whether the painting was realistic or abstract and see the main image in abstract paintings.
While working in the graphic art workshop, students had the opportunity to feel the role of artists and try the monotherapy technique and create their own creative works.
The next point of the training excursion was the scientist, ZINOO. In this centre, students attended an architectural lesson, during which students, while actively participating, tried to build a durable house. The house created by each school group was tested with a device simulating earthquake to enable it to be tested. Students also learned the knowledge needed for architect and why some buildings are cultural history monuments, but others are not.
Following lessons, pupils had the opportunity to look at various interactive exhibitions, try technology achievements and explore natural laws, thus checking and disclosing their skills, abilities and curiosity.
